Nude is not a universal color

In fact, the term nude originated to identify "flesh color," but until recently it served to identify Caucasian flesh color. A not very (or not at all) inclusive concept that did not take into account different skin tones.

How to identify the perfect shade

Nude lipstick is chosen according to our complexion and the kind of effect we want to achieve. We can choose a tone on tone with our skin for a very sophisticated effect, or opt for a slightly pinker color for a more angelic look.

Actually, the range of nude lipsticks is potentially infinite because infinite are the skin and lip tones.

Here, just based on our skin, or rather based on our undertone, we can identify the shades best suited for us:

• For very dark complexions, a touch of burgundy or perhaps the mahogany color are the best choice, while dark skin is enhanced by caramel tones or mauve.
• To emphasize a medium skin tone (olive or Mediterranean) go for warm colors: all shades of browns, even with a hint of orange.
• Let's move on to fair skin, which stands out perfectly with a soft shade of pink. Remember, however, to always create a contrast (even minimal) with the skin: the lips should stand out and not "blend" completely with the face.
